i-METT will be built on approximately 400 hectares of land
in South East Queensland, just 40km south of Brisbane at Norwell.
South East Queensland is the fastest growing
area in Australia. It is only 40km from both Brisbane and
Surfers Paradise, has complementary tourism infrastructure
in place and is already an established destination for domestic
and international visitors.
The site is immediately adjacent to the suburban rail network and the Pacific Motorway, which also links the site to Brisbane’s international airport and other major tourism and commercial centres.
About South East Queensland
The South East Queensland region is the
fastest growing area in Australia and, over the next decade
is expected to emerge as the second largest metropolitan area
in Australia behind Sydney. Comprising the area from the Sunshine
Coast in the north to the Gold Coast in the south, with the
state capital Brisbane located in the middle, the South East
Queensland region extends for some 220 kilometres along the
coast.
