In future years, i-METT will be synonymous with some of the world’s leading motorsport events.

Already the Australian Round of World Rally Championship has been secured for Queensland, an event that features the thrills of off-road racing and super-special stages, where spectators can see the action up close and personal.

It is one of the many events that will bring extensive exposure and tourism income to the State.

Negotiations with other international and national series organisers will commence in the near future to attract motorsport events for both cars and bikes.

DEVELOPING THE INDUSTRY

i-METT provides a foundation for the growth of motorsport, which is already the fastest growing sporting category in Australia.

The i-METT project will cultivate the enthusiasm for the sport and provide support for existing motor sport interest groups, including grass roots sectors.
